Rule for Children on Trains​

Small children can board a train with the following proviso:

• That the child is of a size that can sit upright and astride the coach seat.

• When a child can sit upright but is unable to reach either floor or running boards shall need to be accompanied and supported by an adult. Such a child cannot be allowed to sit on an adult’s lap for any part of the journey. 

A person carrying a baby in arms, or a sling / harness shall not be allowed on a train.
